110 Riding Horses to Kick Off New Auction Year (VIDEO)

The Niedersachsenhalle in Verden will open its gates again on January 23 for the Auction of the Hannoveraner Verband. 110 talented riding horses for all demands will find a new owner at the beginning of the new auction year.

Dressage mare Breanna will be cover hero of the auction catalogue. She has been successfully competing at the international advanced dressage level with her American rider and owner Kathleen Raine since 2012 in the premiere league of dressage. The Brentano II/Weltmeyer-daughter was born in 2000 with her breeder Walter Rauen in Spelle. Owner Gerhard de Vries, Zetel, presented Breanna at the 111th Elite Auction in October 2004 with auction no. 16. Auction Manager Rainer Kiel described her in the auction brochure as future prospect of extraordinary quality. She was ridden by Jörn Ahrens during the auction and left the auction arena as one of the best-prices horses of the event. Regular Verden customer David Wightman from the US purchased the state premium candidate who matured under his wife Kathleen Raine into one of the most important and best dressage mares of the United States.

The career of Breanna is exemplary. The collection of the Verden Auction on January 23 features 110 young horses taking aim to follow in her footsteps. The futurity prospects for the dressage and show jumping collection were carefully selected. Many of them presented promising skills at the photo and video shooting. They were uncomplicated and showed fantastic work ethic under unknown circumstances. Auction Manager Jörg-Wilhelm Wegener is happy that such a high number of horses was presented at the selection dates. “This proves that the breeders prefer the Verden auction venue. They entrust us with the sale of their breeding products full of confidence!” The dressage collection includes 73 horses, the show jumping collection features 37 young talents. “The auction year will start with a strong, high-quality collection. We always focus on presenting our customers a wide range of different horses,” Jörg-Wilhelm Wegener says.
