The 13th annual KWPN Select Sale will take place on Saturday, February 2, following the KWPN Stallion Show powered by Massey Ferguson.
True to tradition, the auction will once again serve as the final act of the KWPN's four-day extravaganza in the Brabanthallen at ’s-Hertogenbosch.
The collection of 25 stallions for this year's auction are now online on www.kwpn.org, along with detailed information about each. The stallions are listed under the KWPN Select Sale 2013 tab.
Serving on the selection committee for dressage stallions are Gertjan van Olst and Nico Witte; Teus van den Brink and Arnold Kootstra are on the selection committee for jumper stallions. Once again, both committees have assembled a collection of quality stallions and are confident in the sport talent of each. The stallions boast varied bloodlines. These promising three-year-olds have each qualified for the second round viewing at the KWPN Stallion Show powered by Massey Ferguson and therefore may be selected for the performance test.
Furthermore, the stallions meet the KWPN's strict health requirements.
The KWPN Select Sale is an excellent opportunity to bid on young, talented stallions for sports or breeding.
The KWPN (Studbook of the Royal Dutch Sport Horse) is the breeding organization of the Netherlands for jumpers, dressage horses, harness horses, and Gelder horses. The KWPN boasts about 26,000 members in the Netherlands and an average of 10,000 foals born each year. Performance, durability, and attractive conformation are the most important factors on which the international success of the Dutch horse is based. For years, the KWPN has topped the studbook rank list of the international breeding umbrella organization, the World Breeding Federation for Sport Horses (WBFSH).
