The 132nd Elite Auction is the highlight of the Hanoverian auction year. The Niedersachsenhalle opens its gates on October 9 and 10, featuring a collection of top futurity prospects as well as championship-experienced riding horses. Top highlight: Quizmaster, current 2015 Bundeschampion of three-year-old mares and geldings, will show up in the auction ring. The exclusive offer of 87 riding horses will be complemented by 45 selected foals with outstanding pedigrees.
The auction brochure is quite impressive. The first horse is already a special offer: Superb by Surprice/Donautanz, bred by Marion Gabel, Kreuzebra, is the current Hanoverian Champion of three-year-old riding horses. The show jumping collection includes interesting horses from A to Z such as Lemwerder S by Lordanos/Goldfever, bred by Ernst Stahlhut from Stadthagen, and full brother of the licensed Moritzburg state stud stallion Lemwerder who won a number of advanced level jumper classes. Beppino by Balou du Rouet is the best-known jumper of the collection. Bred by Dr. Michael Lühs from Wagenfeld, the coloured stallion is now exhibited by the Hanoverian breeding site of the Pilz-family. He was already cover hero of the 2013 Foal Auction and an eye-catcher on the occasion of the 2012 Foal Auction.
The collection of foals features 45 youngsters, born as of June 1. There will be 25 colts and 20 fillies offered for sale, descending from 40 different stallions. The foals will be presented on Saturday, October 10, as of 10.30 am in the Niedersachsenhalle and put up for auction after the riding horses as of 6.00 pm.
Cover hero and goodmother of the auction is Fohlenhofs Rock'n Rose by Rubin-Royal/Feiner Stern, bred by Andrea and Heinrich Lahmeyer from Bassum. The mare, born in 2004, was discovered at the 120th Elite Auction in April 2009 by horse expert and Verden regular customer Fernand Wetz from Luxembourg. He purchased the futurity prospect and successfully trained her to compete at St. Georg-level. No less than Germany's top instructor Dorothee Schneider has been riding the 11-year-old mare since 2014.
The 132nd Elite Auction is traditionally opened on Friday as of 8.00 pm with a stunning Gala show evening. The program will feature many fascinating show presentations from the current equestrian world. It is of course only logical that the newly appointed vaulting team European Champions from Neuss-Grimlinghausen and her Hanoverian mare Delia FRH will show up as well! The presentations of the Brüsewitz-brothers ensure goose bumps and excitement at the highest level. They already show up the second time in the Niedersachsenhalle in Verden. Dressage exercises at the highest level will be celebrated by Alizée Froment. She is an international Grand Prix-rider from France with a special disposition for the fine art of dressage riding. The Celle National State Stud has already announced to come, too. 16 stud stallions will present an impressive quadrille.
The Hanoverian Supporters' Club will provide something special: The foal Fine FRH by Fahrenheit/Der Lenz will be raffled off for the benefit of the FRH. The ticket price of Euro 5 is meant to support the work of the Supporters' Club. Partner of the FRH are for example Vice European Champion Desperados FRH and Kristina Bröring-Sprehe.
The auction period will start on Monday, September 28. It is possible to watch the auction horses during daily training and to ride them upon prior arrangement. The final presentation of the collection of the 132nd Elite Auction will be on Saturday, October 10, as of 9.00 am, finally leading to the auction at 3.00 pm, held as usual be the two auctioneers Daniel Delius and Bernd Hickert.
