Excellent Atmosphere at the Auction Final in Verden (VIDEO)

“One, two, three – sold!” The last acceptance of bid in the Niedersachsenhalle closed the 2015 Verden auction year. Exhibitors sold their horses at averagely Euro 14,216 at the Verband's Auction in November.

The typey dressage mare Susii became highest-price horse and was sold at Euro 61,000 to China.

The Sarkozy/Ehrenwort-daughter, Hanoverian premium candidate Susii (breeder and exhibitor: Wilfried Otten, Meppen) was the Number One of the auction, and she impressively opened the November sales event as top-priced horse. The noble chestnut mare was already considered candidate for the highest price during auction training period. Her half brother Dornvelder had become best horse of the 127th Elite Auction three years ago.

The Contendro/Glückspilz-son Cienfuegos (breeder: Wilhlem Berghorn, Stolzenau – exhibitor: Bernfried Erdmann, Wallenhorst) turned out to be best jumper. The scopey brown stallion is no less than full brother of Christian Ahlmann's Olympic horse Codex One. He was sold at Euro 30,000 and will start his career in the US.

There was an even balance in sales with two third of the futurity prospects being sold at prices of more than Euro 10,000. Customers from 16 different countries purchased a young horse in the Verden Niedersachsenhalle. 46 horses will leave Germany. “The auction system, revised at the beginning of the year, has been proven its worth right from the beginning and is now well-accepted by both, exhibitors and customers,” said auction manager Jörg-Wilhelm Wegener. The Verden Auction in November showed one again that the auction management has been successful in attracting new customers over the past months. “We welcome the general acceptance of our auctions!”
