Last week the final Central Inspection of this season took place. In total 49 three-year-old jumping mares and 41 three-year-old dressage mares are selected now for the National Mare Championship which will take place, during the KWPN Horse Days, on Friday the 15th of August at the KWPN Center in Ermelo.
The jumping stallions with the most mares at the National Mare Championship are Zirocco Blue VDL with five mares, including one Central Inspection champion, as well as Baltic VDL with four mares. For dressage, world class sire Jazz is top provider together with Apache, they both have six mares at the Nationals. Out of the twelve Central Inspections that were organized this year, four champions were by Jazz.
Apache sired the Champion of the region Overijssel. Bordeaux, sire of the Champion of Zuid-Holland, will have five mares in Ermelo the beginning of August.
Next month, from 11-16 August, the KWPN Horse Days will take place at the KWPN Center.
The Dutch National Mare Championship takes place on the Breeding Day of the KWPN Horse Days, Friday the 15th of August. Admission is free on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
