Oldenburgs win the most medals. After the EC titles in dressage, vaulting and eventing, the DKB Bundeschampionats – the German Championships for Young Riding Horses – seamlessly concluded the series of successes for Oldenburgs this year.
With a total of nine medals, four of which were gold, the Oldenburger Pferdezuchtverband was the most successful riding horse society at this year’s DKB Bundeschampionats in Warendorf. Oldenburg horses took four gold medals, four silver medals and one bronze medal. Broken down, the gold medals went to Finest Selection OLD by Follow Me OLD in the class for three-year old stallions (breeder: Heinz-Hermann Leismann, Tecklenburg, rider: Lukas Fischer), Candy OLD by Sir Donnerhall I in the class for four-year old mares and geldings (breeder: Paul Wendeln, Garrel, rider: Hermann Gerdes), Diaron by Diarado in the class for five-year old show jumpers (breeder: Manuela Lachnit, Nienburg, rider: Patrick Stühlmeyer) and Fior by Fürstenball OLD in the class for six-year old dressage horses (breeder: Gestüt Lewitz, rider: Frederic Wandres).
Silver went to For Final by For Romance I OLD in the class for four-year old stallions (breeder: Sarah Kohl, Bad Zwischenahn, rider: Stefanie Ahlert), Feel Free OLD by Foundation in the class for four-year old mares and geldings (breeder: Indira Wallner, Schwinkendorf, rider: Anja Engelbart), Fürst William HC by Fürst Wilhelm in the class for five-year old dressage horses (breeder: Monika Stärk, Merzen, rider: Beatrice Buchwald) and Quickborn by Quintender in the class for six-year old show jumpers (breeder: Werner Tapken, Ganderkesee, rider: Andreas Kreuzer).
Bronze went to the six-year old event horse Quadro Porte by Quadros (breeder: Evgenia Gurfinkel, Lübeck, rider: Sandra Auffarth).
