After the acknowledged merit achieved internationally by Rubi AR, ambassador for the Lusitano breed and sire of Coronel AR, Christine Jacoberger now moves forward with a new and ambitious competition project with this stallion of enormous potential, approved with 75.4 points and recent winner of Portugal’s Dressage Cup at S.George – Inter I level. This project’s goal is to valorize this young horse of 9 years, following the training developed by the competition team of Alter Real Stud, under the saddle of Duarte Nogueira.
At this new stage in its career, Coronel AR will be ridden by the talented Rita Ralão and trained by the olympic rider, Miguel Ralão. This partnership will also allow Alter Real Stud to add new horses to its competition team, directed by the rider Duarte Nogueira, such as the young and promising Hercules AR (Coronel AR * Ujoia AR por Joca AR) and also to reinforce the investment in other horses like the stallion Beirão AR (Rubi AR * Ujoia AR por Joca AR), which will be competing at Grand Prix level and owns already an impressive resumé.
Both the Stud and Christine Jacoberger believe in the strong potential of Coronel AR and that this new collaboration will be mutually beneficial.
“I am very happy to collaborate again with Alter Real Stud. We will give our best to support the sporting career of the new team, Coronel AR and the rider Rita Ralão, and with the help of the trainer Miguel Ralão to continue the excellent training developed by Duarte Nogueira, to whom I extend my personal gratitude for his dedication and excellent results already achieved by several progeny of my stallion, Rubi AR.” states Christine Jacoberger.
Eng. Francisco Beja, responsible for the Equine Production in Alter Real Stud, adds: “It is with great pride that I see such a prestigious and credible team recognize the sportive potential of Coronel AR and the excellent work of breeding and training developed at Alter Real Stud. We felt very early that Coronel AR had characteristics that could take him far and we have deposited many hopes in this new stage that now begins. The new horses in our competition ensure the continuation of good results.”
