Amelie Cohen in a fatal eventing accident

The sport of eventing has suffered another fatal accident with the death of Amelie Cohen at Fontainebleau in France.

The tragedy occurred at a national eventing competition last Sunday when French rider Amelie Cohen, fell from her horse at the seventh fence on the cross-country course, which had a height limit of 1,10m and died in a rotational fall.

The horse somersaulted and landed on top of Amelie.
