William Fox-Pitt’s Cool Mountain Not Fit for London
What a pity! British top eventer William Fox-Pitt has to do without his top ride Cool Mountain at the Olympic Games in London.
According to the daily newspaper ‘The Telegraph‘ the 12-year-old gelding sustained a tendon damage at the Europeans last year and will have to pause for twelve months.
William Fox-Pitt and Cool Mountain won team gold and individual silver at the World Equestrian Games in Kentucky in 2010. However, 43-year-old William Fox-Pitt still hopes to be able to qualify for London, as he has got three horses in contention as potential Olympic horses: Lionheart, Parklane Hawk (victory in Burghley in 2011) and Oslo (victory in Pau in 2011).
