World Breeding Dressage Championships for Young Horses: Two Hanoverians World Champions

The FEI World Breeding Dressage Championships for Young Horses in Ermelo/Netherlands were a triumphant march for Hanoverian horses. Don Martillo won the division of five-year-old horses, Lordswood Dancing Diamond the division of six-year-olds. Both convincingly won with more than 0.5 points ahead. Sultan des Paluds became Vice Champion in the division of seven-year-old horses.

Don Martillo by Don Juan de Hus/Benetton Dream (breeder: Axel Windeler, Verden-Walle) and Ann-Christin Wienkamp travelled as the current Bundeschampiont to Ermelo. The presentation in the qualifier was already perfect, and their performances in the Final were again rewarded with highest scores. Six Hanoverians competed in the Final of the best 15 competitors in total. Hanoverian state premium mare Casablanca by Conen/Fidertanz (breeder: Johannes Westendarp, Wallenhorst) with her Australian rider Simone Pearce earned an excellent fourth place, sixth place went to D’Avie by Don Juan de Hus/Londonderry (breeder: Dorothee Heitmüller, Nienburg), ridden by Servero Jesus Jurado Lopez/ESP. Dragon Welt by Dancier/Weltmeyer (breeder: Pernilla Svensson, Broby/SWE) and Ida-Linn Lundholm/SWE came in ninth. The Foundation/Weltmeyer-daughter Faviola (breeder: Heinrich Gießelmann, Barver) and Nadine Husenbeth finished 11th and 13th Quizmaster by Quasar de Charry/Velten Third (breeder: Klaus Küver, Wohlenbeck) with Sascha Schulz/LUX.

Lordswood Dancing Diamond by Dancier/Wolkenstein II (breeder: Horst Ebeling, Hollnseth) and Ann-Kathrin Pohlmeier convincingly clinched victory in the division of six-year-olds. He is also Bundeschampion and already won the bronze medal at the FEI World Breeding Dressage Championships for Young Horses last year. Apart from that, he is the 2014 and 2015 Vice Bundeschampion of riding horses. Shiny sixth became Nymphenburg’s First Ampere by Ampere/Weltruhm (breeder: Jan Siemsglüss, Bommelsen) with Tessa Frank. Feodoro by Fürstenball/Rosario (breeder: Katrin Lüder-Kratzberg, Hildesheim) and the Australian rider Simone Pearce finished seventh. They had won the qualifier before.

Sultan des Paluds by Soliman de Hus/De Niro (breeder: Pablo Bouillot, Nimes/FRAU) and his Dutch rider Kirsten Brouwer won the vice championship-title in the division of seven-year-old horses. The chestnut qualified for the Final as third in the qualifying test.
