Milestone reached for Equestrian Education

The International Group for Equestrian Qualifications (IGEQ), announced that a Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between the IGEQ and the Fédération Equestre Internationale (FEI).

In keeping with international trends, where more and more measures are being introduced world-wide to formalize
equestrian education, this agreement between the IGEQ and FEI has as its objective, cooperation between the two
organizations for the betterment of education in the sport of horse riding.

The FEI presents a Coaches Education programme designed for developing countries.

The purpose of the IGEQ is to harmonize and maintain standards of qualifications across three levels that are offered
by its respective member countries.

The IGEQ membership comprises of National Equestrian Federations that offer National Equestrian Qualifications, or have in interest in offering professional qualifications. The IGEQ member Federations are also member Federations of the FEI.

At the recent IGEQ Annual General Meeting held in Saumur France, the Memorandum was positively welcomed by the members present.
