The Netherlands’ Emmelie Scholtens and the 11-year-old KWPN stallion Indian Rock won the ninth leg of the FEI Dressage World Cup™ 2023/2024 Western European League series at Neumünster in Germany today, pinning Sweden’s Patrik Kittel and Forever Young HRH into second place and the host nation’s Matthias Alexander Rath and Destacado FRH into third.
Scholtens, who already headed the pack in yesterday’s Grand Prix, came out on top again today scoring 81.565 to overtake Kittel by 0.42 percentage points. Rath, who put 80.425 on the board in today’s Freestyle, has now climbed to second place behind longtime leader Kittel on the League table from which the top nine athletes will qualify for the FEI Dressage World Cup™ Final 2024 in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in April.
Ahead of the penultimate qualifier in Gothenburg, Sweden next weekend today’s winner Scholtens lies equal-ninth in the League standings alongside French rider Alexandre Ayache.
