First Fences Performers Auction – Saturday 22nd April
Le Printemps des Sports Équestres is joining forces with Fences, for its second edition, held at the Grand Parquet de Fontainebleau, (Seine-et-Marne), from 19 to 23 April.
On Saturday 22 April, the first Fences Performers Auction will showcase twenty top quality horses, as well as some exceptional embryos that will be born in 2023.
The Fences Agency, which is celebrating its 35th anniversary this year, is a European benchmark in the field of sport horse auctions. Nearly 10,000 horses have been sold at its famous auctions, including three individual European gold medallists and more than twenty finalists at the Olympic Games, the World Equestrian Games and the FEI Jumping World Cup Finals. Fences’ partners and GL events Equestrian Sport’s team, which has been organising Equita Lyon, the Salon du Cheval, and its Longines Equita Lyon, Concours Hippique International, and Le Printemps des Sports Équestres in Fontainebleau, have been working together for several years to promote sport, breeding and performance. On Saturday 22 April, the two entities are joining forces to organise the first Fences Performers Auction, featuring top quality horses, which is set to take place every year during the Fontainebleau event.
TWENTY HORSES AND SEVERAL EMBRYOS WILL BE GOING UNDER THE HAMMER
The auction catalogue will mainly feature horses under saddle aged between five and seven-years-old, which Fences’ partners believe all have the potential to jump 1.40m courses or higher. The catalogue may also boast a few eight and nine-year-olds, depending on the selections currently underway. Some exceptional embryos to be born in 2023 will also complete the catalogue.
The horses put up for auction will be present onsite at the Grand Parquet de Fontainebleau where potential buyers can try them out by appointment during Le Printemps des Sports Équestres. The auction will take place on Saturday evening, in the presence of Fences’ partners.
All the information about the horses for sale can be found on www.fences.fr as it becomes available.
