Sale of race horses in Deauville
The final European sale of the year begins in Deauville on December 3, with the start of the three-day Agence Francaise mixed sale of yearlings and horses in training.
The mixed sale catalogue of 606 lots contains 173 foals and the stallion Sin Kiang, a son of Fabulous Dancer who has been at stud at Haras des Faunes since 1996, siring winners under both codes including this year’s Swiss St Leger winner Tirwanako.
The remainder of the catalogue is made up of fillies and mares in and out of training, with drafts from the Aga Khan Studs, Haras d’Etreham, Haras des Capucines, Haras de Logis and Darley among the consignments. Also on offer are drafts from German breeders such as Gestut Ammerland, breeder of Cartier Horse of the Year Hurricane Run, and Gestut Schlenderhan, breeder of Breeders’ Cup Turf winner Shirocco.
Monday’s sale of almost 100 lots features mares, fillies and foals with jumping pedigrees. Among the mares in foal are lots carrying coverings by Saint de Saint, Astarabad, River Bay and Robin des Pres.
Sessions begin at 11am on Saturday, December 3, and at 10am on Sunday and Monday.
