Chantilly: World's Capital of Horses

Located an hour from the north of Paris, Chantilly, is the world’s capital of Horses, with some 2.500 thoroughbreds, plus the Argentinean Criollos at the Polo Club, the show jumpers, the carriage horses and hunters. Chantilly is also a cultural destination with its 3 Chateaus, the Living Museum of the Horse and the Princes’ kitchen Garden. Chantilly is also a destination for relaxation.

Situated within the Prince de Condé Grand Stables, an architectural masterpiece of the 18th Century, the Living Museum of the Horse presents 30 horses and ponies, 31 exhibition rooms(1h30 visit) and 3 daily educational presentations.

In the hearth of the town of Chantilly, the Princes’ Kitchen Garden, created by Le Nôtre, with its 3 hectares offers to the visitors, French, English and Japanese Gardens, a flowered kitchen garden, amongst other sites. Animations for children, botanic conferences and theatrical plays are there to add to your pleasure.
