Rolex bolsters equestrian sport portfolio

The International Federation for Equestrian Sports (FEI) has announced Swiss luxury watchmaker Rolex as an official partner of the 2014 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games in Normandy, France.

The agreement, signed yesterday in Geneva, sees Rolex continue its association with equestrian sport, which began in 1957 and has seen the brand partner the World Equestrian Games since 2002

FEI secretary general Ingmar De Vos said: “The FEI is delighted that Rolex, one of the world’s best brands and a dedicated partner to equestrian sport, has renewed its cooperation with the FEI’s flagship event, the FEI World Equestrian Games.”

“Rolex’s loyalty to our sport is exceptional and we are looking forward to the Games in Normandy, which are expected to stage absolutely top-class sport in an area renowned for its connection with the horse.”

Fabien Grobon, director general of the 2014 event, added: “We are honoured to welcome Rolex as our partner for the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games in 2014. Rolex’s support of the Games further reinforces the image of the Games as an event that brings together the world’s best equestrian athletes whose commitment has taken them to the very top of the sport.”

The competition schedule of the quadrennial World Equestrian Games includes seven FEI disciplines – Jumping, Dressage & Para-Equestrian Dressage, Eventing, Driving, Endurance, Vaulting and Reining. The 2014 edition will take place from 24th August to 7th September.
