Ireland’s Howley makes it a back-to-back double in Helsinki
Following on from their sensational first-leg victory in Oslo, Norway seven days ago, Ireland’s Richard Howley and his brilliant gelding Consulent de Prelet Z stormed to victory again today in the second leg of the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ 2023/2024 Western European League in Helsinki, Finland.
There were eight horse-and-rider combinations through to the second-round jump-off against the clock and, last to go, Howley pinned Germany’s Philipp Schulze Topphoff and Carla NRW into runner-up spot while world number one and reigning series champion, Sweden’s Henrik von Eckermann, lined up in third with Dzara Dorchival.
