Bahrain’s King offers Queen Elizabeth two Arabian Horses

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa presented Queen Elizabeth II with two Bahraini pure-bred Arabian Horses, in recognition of her efforts to promote Bahraini-British relations and bolster deep-rooted historic cooperation.

The royal gesture marks Bahrain’s participation in the 2013 Royal Windsor Horse Show, held for the first time at the Windsor Great Park. The King of Bahrain hailed his country’s participation as reflecting steadily-growing cordial relations in all fields for the sake of the two friendly countries and peoples.

The famed Bahraini pure-bred Arabian horses, rarely found outside the Kingdom, have been preserved for years by the rulers of Bahrain, the Al Khalifa dynasty. Bahrain’s efforts to preserve the purity of this collection of pure-bred Arabian horses were also praised.
