Belgium Royal Carriage Crash
Four people were injured when two horse-drawn carriages collided in the grounds of Belgium's King Albert II's castle.
The carriages were taking guests to a garden party at Laken Castle on Sunday (30.08.09) when the horses pulling one vehicle started galloping out of control.
The coach then crashed into a second coach, throwing passengers to the ground.
Two people were seriously injured, while another two sustained minor injuries.
An army ambulance rushed the victims to hospital where they are expected to make a full recovery.
No members of the royal family were injured in the crash.
The party was celebrating the wedding anniversaries of King Albert and Queen Paola, Princess Astrid and Prince Lorenz, and Crown Prince Philippe and his wife Princess Mathilde.
It is Albert and Paolo's golden anniversary and Astrid and Lorenz's silver anniversary.
