Theft of tack on the increase in Great Britain

Thieves are stealing rugs off horses’ backs and stable owners are being forced to barricade their equipment in as tack thefts reach an all-time high in Shropshire, Great Britain, it was claimed today.

More than £30,000 worth of tack has been stolen in just two months. Leaders in the stable and livery industry said the number of thefts of high-value equipment was the highest it had ever been, with many stable owners hit more than once.
