The stars are all set: Season start in GLOCK atmosphere

14 nations, 205 horses, 94 riders – and international superstars: when Gaston and Kathrin Glock send out invitations to international show jumping in Treffen, it is bound to be a prestigious event. Top guests will thus be appearing in the saddle and on the stage from 30 January to 2 February.

There is a great rush to compete at the GLOCK HORSE PERFORMANCE CENTER and it begins earlier and earlier every year, as the event always promises to be a very special one for both riders and spectators. Everywhere bears the unique hallmark of Gaston Glock’s wife and GHPC managing director Kathrin Glock. The industrialist had the GHPC built for his wife and in 2010 entrusted her with the international positioning of the flagship equestrian facility in the south of Carinthia.

Design and perfection meet equestrian sport

GLOCK’s credo, which applies to events and horses alike, is perfect planning and attention to detail. It therefore comes as no surprise that founder and owner Gaston Glock provides outstanding facilities for riders and mounts at the GLOCK HORSE PERFORMANCE CENTER in Austria and the Netherlands and promotes equestrian sport as a whole.
Competitors and spectators will not only be treated to top-class sport but also a truly magical experience at the site for four whole days: breathtaking design in the Riders Lounge, exquisite cocktails and catering, amazing live acts by the show stars and generous donations to people and animals in need.

Equestrian sport stars in the saddle

The riders are looking forward to it already: the highest possible three-star prize money, €250,000, will be up for grabs at the GHPC – GLOCK’s Grand Prix alone is worth €100,000. A total of four FEI Rolex world ranking competitions will be held here.

The prize money, the opportunities for entering young horses in an event and also coaching their own protégés in the CSI1* makes the season opener at the GLOCK HORSE PERFORMANCE CENTER particularly attractive for the stars of the equestrian scene.

They include several Olympic, World and European Champions such as Jos Lansink (BEL), Gerco Schröder (NED), Marc Houtzager (NED), Jur Vrieling (NED), John Whitaker (GBR) and countless other big names in international equestrian sport who are competing here in Treffen. At the GHPC they will meet the closed ranks of the region’s star riders led by local hero and Austria’s number one: Dieter Köfler. In addition, Gerfried and Robert Puck, Julia Kayser, Stefan Eder, Roland Englbrecht, Christian Schranz, Hugo Simon and Thomas Frühmann will also be demonstrating their skills.

GLOCK’s stars are gearing up
True to the GLOCK HORSE PERFORMANCE CENTER’s motto of Horses and Stars, the first show of the year will again feature unique live entertainment. Every evening international celebrities will rock the Riders Lounge with their concerts and appearances.
