Team & Individual Gold for Portugal

The 2006 European Working Equitation Championships for Juniors, took place in Sardinia, Italy between the 9th and 13th September. Junior teams from 4 countries – Portugal, Great Britain and Italy took part in the Championship.

The Portuguese junior teams, with their Lusitanos, dominated every section and returned home as European Team Champions. The individual championship was also won by Portuguese rider David Bento Gomes riding Rafa who won the Gold Medal, followed by Francisco Pimentel Silva on Ortega (silver medal). Italian Giovani Mattu and Tornado took the bronze medal.

The team placings were secure by the end of Saturday – Portugal had won the gold, followed by Italy (silver). The bronze went to Great Britain.

II WORLD WORKING EQUITATION CHAMPIONSHIP

APSL, in conjunction with Câmara Municipal de Lisboa, Federação Equestre Portuguesa and Sociedade Hípica Portuguesa, is organising the II WORLD WORKING EQUITATION CHAMPIONSHIP which will be held in Lisbon – Sociedade Hípica Portuguesa – from the 27 up to the 29 October.

Portugal, Spain, France, Italy, Great Britain, Brazil and Mexico are the countries that will be competing at this major event.
